HOMAN SQUARE POWER HOUSE RETURNS TO SERVICE!!! The Chicago Public Schools announced that, after months of preparation, a partnership between Henry Ford Learning Institute (HFLI) and Homan Square to open a charter high school in the Homan Square Power House, was awarded one of the last remaining charters to open Power House Public Charter High School at Homan Square. The historic Sears Power House will be developed into a state-of-the-art learning environment which we will name the Charles H. Shaw Technology and Learning Center (affectionately called the Shaw TLC).
The
Power House once powered the entire Sears, Roebuck and Co. original
headquarters. Now it will power the dreams and aspirations of North
